Il mio percorso strumentale si può definire molto comune quasi tipico (almeno fino a qualche anno fa)
Infatti dall' 87 fino al 2000 mi sono "fatto le ossa" soprattutto in campo visuale con un 114 / 900 della Konus e con un binocolo 10x50.
Nel 2001 ho acquistato un Meade LX6 203mm f 6.3 con il quale ho cominciato ad entrare nel mondo della fotografia astronomica (utilizzando una reflex Yashica LX 2000).
Nel 2005 lo strumento principale è stato sostituito da un Meade ACF LX200 da 10" f 10 il tutto sostenuto da una Orion Atlas EQ-G.Il set up attuale è quello visibile in foto nella quale si può notare l'OTA ACF (peso 11 kg), montata sulla Atlas (e bilanciata con quattro contrappesi per un totale di 16 kg). Sullo strumento principale è installato quello di guida (un acromatico Skyline 80/500 al fuoco del quale è inserita una camera monocromatica CMOS Magzero) con relativo cercatore da 50mm.
Allo scopo di ridurre la generosa (2500 mm) focale dello strumento di ripresa utilizzo un telecompressor Alan Gee II.
Completano il set-up una Canon EOS 350D nonchè diversi accessori fotovisuali (lenti di barlow, oculari, filtri, etc...) e ancora....il vecchio 114/900.
Da pochi giorni alla famiglia si è aggiunto anche un semiapocromatico ED80 della Skywatcher.
